Is this okay to eat?
I've been told by my doctor not to eat feta, cold cuts, anything not pastuerized.
Today for work we're ordering Greek food. I want to order a chicken souvlaki. Is the yogurt sauce okay to eat?

I love feta and was surprised about that when she told me.
She also said if I want to eat cold cuts I would have to put it in the microwave for 10 seconds to kill any bacteria that may be on it. Pretty disgusting.

They just want you to be careful and eliminate your chances of getting the listeriosis infection. Coldcuts I don't eat unless they're freshly cut in front of me and are not more than 2 days old, feta I eat about once a week and I usually get it in my salad from Cosi which claims their cheese is pasturized. Just eat it in moderation and you should be fine.

I eat Feta, cold cuts, basically everything in moderation.
I have to have my greek salad and chick souvelaki from my fav diner in NY when I go.
The sauce is just yogurt, cucumber and onions. It's fine!

here too - I eat brie all the time. I just look at the ingredients and see if they use pasturized milk.
