Is this heat rash or should we have the doctor check it out?
I put the pics in an album too incase these are too hard to see. And by the way, I used to LIF image resizer. Why are the pics so small?
ETA:
I forgot to add that he had a fever from last tuesday until friday. We took him to the doctor and she said it was viral but he didn't have a rash until later that daym Image Attachment(s):

Is this heat rash or should we have the doctor check it out?
I'd have it heckled out b/c it's on back and stomach. Could he be sick? Strep causes rashes sometimes. Is it bumpy?

My ds just had the same rash. It was gone in 3 days. It just has to run its course. He also had a virus

Often a fever virus will end with a rash.

Does he have any other symptoms? Was the fever able to be controlled with Motrin or tylenol? I ask only because my DD was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease last year, and the symptoms presented the same way. Rash on trunk, uncontrolled fever, amongst other things. I don't mean to alarm anyone, but Kawasaki always mimics other viruses, so I feel like I should always alert parents of the symptoms.

I would think it's related to a virus if he also had a fever. Maybe roseola?

DS had the same rash and it was viral. Went away in a few days on it's own. That being said, I always take DS to the peds anyway. Better to be safe.

Sounds like roseola to me. You could always call and run it by the nurse's line, assuming your ped has one.

DS got a rash like that after his fever broke. I would say it is related to the virus.
