Is this heartburn?
I have never had heartburn, or at least I don't think I have, so I don't know what this is...
I have this feeling in the base of my throat, like I am ready to vomit- kind of bile-y.
Not really "burning" per say, more like a chunky discomfort...
I did have a BIG bowl of cereal this morning, and I know large meals and fatty things trigger heartburn...
Any thoughts?
ETA- I want confirmation before I tak eTums because I HATE tums.

chunky discomfort. Yes, sounds like it to me. I get that and I have acid reflux.

So I can basically now rule out...
Pizza
all red sauce
fried foods
large meals
so far, my whole menu.
I may slow down this weight gain yet!
Totally a chunder feeling, though- will Tums stop this?

yes i am suffering soo bad all day, im on zantac, i had HB prepreg so its that much worse....

u can eat those things, just dont fill up on them,,if you have HB try a msall glass of skim milk or ice creAM..

I get awful heartburn and reflux, but I haven't changed my diet at all. I just load up on Tums or Zantac. I'm deprived of enough stuff, I can't stop eating red sauce or spicy food.

I hate tums but me and tums smoothies are best friends now. They taste so much better, less chalky than tums.
Also milk products will help as well.

UGH this is the WORST! I want lunch so bad, but I can't imagine getting food past this huge chunk on board!
Looks like I'm running out to go Tums shopping.

get the smoothies....and less fat like fat free ice cream is better...reg fat relaxes the muscle in your esophogus and allows the acid to reflux

Update:
I ate a simple lunch, and the chunks are still there, but less chundery. nd less biley.
And I am still hungry. But that's a whole seperate issue I am having.

You know- I should add to my syptoms- a few times in the past week or so, I have... ummm "vurped" you know- vomit burped a little. Definitely still heartburn?
