Is this gift enough?
So SO‘s brother had a baby (second one). We went shopping yesterday for a few gifts to bring. I know everyone says to give what you can afford and money is tight for us right now, so we gave what we could. SO was so happy to wake up finding out he had a new nephew.
So this is what we got:
-A cute Pyjama set/onesie thing that can be used in about a month.
- a framed photo of the parents with the new baby
-some chocolates for the mom
-a stuffed toy for their first child
Is that enough? The thing is we did a lot of bargain shopping and got some deals and spent about $30 for everything. I feel like this is too cheap. I love TJ Maxx.

That sounds like a thoughtful gift to me, especially for second baby. I like the chocolates for the mom idea, I remember feeling like a “baby vessel” after having babies to my ILs. It’s nice to aknlowdge the mom.

I think it’s perfect! I especially love the frame idea. Too often we forget to print out and frame real photos in our digital world. I would love that gift.

Absolutely perfect
Also, if you cook, it’s nice to bring over a meal for them to eat that night or freeze for later. Or even some pastries for breakfast next day? (I know you’re out of the country so I’m not sure what the norm is)

I think it sounds like a very nice gift. Perfect that you got something for the older sibling, and I love the framed photo idea, and I think the parents will too.

The only thing I might add in there is a little something for the dad too. Everyone but his brother is getting a little something.
So if he knows his favorite snack , an it’s a boy cigar (if he smokes them) something funny even.

That‘s a good point. The dad likes photos and takes a ton of them. I guess that is where the frame idea came about.
