Is this feeling normal...?
sometimes I feel like I don't hold DS enough. He is 4 1/2 weeks, I BF so I am holding him during that, but afterwards he usually sleeps so I put him down in his crib. I rarely hold him while he sleeps b/c I don't want to disturb him. He sleeps most of the day and is usually up from 6 or 7pm to around 10 or 11pm...which most of that time I am holding him or he is laying on the couch next to me. Have you ever felt guilty about putting DC down too much?

Yes totally normal...while its great to hold them and bond with them its also good to let them stretch out their little bodies as they are growing all the time. I am sure when you are BF you are doing lots of holding so dont beat yourself up...

wow...can i just say i envy you  you are so lucky! first that ds sleeps so much and second that he has such a consistent schedule! or maybe this is normal and I am the unlucky one
unfortunately can't help you out with your post b/c i feel like i am ALWAYS holding him - sometimes it is the only way to get him to sleep or kkeep him asleep! He sleeps for an hour or so here or there but, otherwise - except for one longer stretch of sleep he is up most of the day and night! I say don't worry too much - it seems like you are doing great!

My DS is 7 weeks and sometimes I feel guilty that I do not hold him enough. When he is asleep or in a quiet alert state, sometimes I put him down so that I can get things done! But it seems that I second-guess myself and worry a lot these days 
Maybe if we both feel it, it is normal!

i feel the same, especially when i think ill be going back to work soon.. right now DD is sleeping on my chest, she wont let me put her down... shes had a rough two days with gas.. last nap i ran out to get milacin drops and left her with my dad, 5 mins after i left she started screaming, i guess this way she knows im still here lol.

Funny I felt the opposite, I held DS so much that I felt guilty that I was spoiling him.
That's motherhood for ya, we feel guilty no matter what we do!
