Is this expensive
I just priced out transportation from Nassau county to the vineyards for 12 people ....a sprinter would be $120 an hour...we are looking at doing 7 hours which would be $140 a couple just for transportation. Isn't that expensive? By the time we factor in lunch and wine tastings I'm figuring we are looking at spending at least $300???

That's $20/ hour per couple (or $10/ hour per person)...I don't think it's unreasonable.

Nope, not expensive at all.
Our friends (mostly couples) anywhere from 10-20 of us have used stretch limos to the big party bus. And that was right in the price range you mention. What we did was each couple was responsible to bring/pack their own lunch/snacks.
We brought coolers of drinks with sandwiches; chips, etc. We stayed at the winery all day and just hung out and did what we wanted. Some wineries don't like you eating there; but Pellegrini does. Its our favorite winery that we never go anywhere else. We just spend the day there. And then before you know it; its 5pm and time to pack up.
And for what its worth; a tasting isn't all that expensive.

Not sure what company my friend used but it was $100 per person for the limo, food and tour. I do believe it as on Groupon though.
