IS this enough for a gift?

We are goign to a bris this weekend. well, actually only to a post-bris get together, since we can't make the actual ceremony timewise. Anyway, it's for my friend's son. When she just had the babies (twins), I got her a nice diaper bag.

So, now for the bris I got them a gift card to BBB for $36 (18x2) and a baby meal book by Anabel Karmel that I know she will appreciate, since she is really into healthy lifes style and I knwo she will be cooking for her babies herself. I have that book myself adn use it all the time so I am very excited abotu giving it to them!

When I told my Mom about the gift she said it might not be enough. Then I told her I got my firend another gift before, right after the babies were born. She said that than it's OK since I already got her somethign before.

However, now I am worried. Is it not enough?Should I add something else? What do you think? I am not sure what the total amount spent is appropriate as a bris gift...Chat Icon

It is perfectly fine. You really do not have to get her anything if you gave her something right after the babys born.Usually, if it's a boy then that is why people wait to the Bris to give their gift.

If you feel you need to definately get something. The "token gift" you described is perfect.
