Is this an ok menu for a BBQ - Jack's 2nd birthday
It's only family (50ppl) so I am really trying to keep it pretty basic since I'm preggo - and my mom who would normally do alot to help - this is her busiest time of year at work.
Apps - on every table: Chips and Dips Tostitos and Salsa Spinach Dip and Crackers Veggie Platters
Dinner: Burgers (cheese of course) Hot dogs Marinated steak Chicken Fingers and Fries Baked Ziti Sausage Corn on the cob Baked Beans Salad (gorgonzola and walnut) Broccoli Casserole
Dessert: Cake Brownies Ice Cream singles Fruit arrangement Choc Chip Cookies
My questions are this - would you pass hot ordeurves? Do I need some more sides dishes (another veggie maybe?) Should I make cupcakes too?
THANKS!

That's like 3 times the amount of food we had for Lily's party and we only had about 20 people. I think you're fine as is....don't do the hot apps because it'll be warm out, so people won't need them. And don't mess with cupcakes....the desserts you have are plenty!!!

YUMMEE!! Can I come to your parties!! Definitely skip the hot apps-too much of a pain in the neck! You could add maybe pasta salad, macaroni salad or potato salad! I like cupcakes for the little guys, but you are having sooo much already!

I agree-I wouldn't expect hot apps at a BBQ type event. Everything sounds delish-if you wanted to add anything, I would say a cold pasta salad. With ot without that it will be perfect.
