Is this a good price for a bathroom remodel

I got two estimates for a half bath (4x7) and one for a 3/4 bath (4x8).

The half bath was $4400 which includes everything except medicine cabinet and tile for floor (also includes paint for wall)

The second one was $3000 plus supplies.

For the 3/4 bath the estimate was $5500 plus the cost of tile, vanity and medicine cabinet.

Both are gut jobs.

i think the 3,000. one is fair b/c you know up front what labor is. you are in charge of what you spend on supplies, KWIM? but, then again, supplies can be costly.

I don't know- that actually souds a bit high. We just redid our basement (turned a 2 car garage into a playroom) and added on a small half bath. They charged us $1600 for all of the work- sheetrocking, tape and prime walls, tiling the floors (we already had the tile), all the electric and plaumbing. We paid for the toilet, sink, and all accessories (mirror, paint, wall art, shelves, etc...) ourselves. Now mind you, they were alreazdy in our home doing an $8K project, so I know we got a break on the bathroom, but we built this from complete scratch.

hmmm that does seem like a lot. Is that just for labor? We re-did our big bath and half bath for much less - and we spared no expense on supplies. FM me for details.

We got 3 estimates for our bath its about 8x7 full bath, complete gut and reno.

For all 3 estimates we would be supplying, tile, all fixtures, vanity, lighting etc. They would supply sheet rock, wiring supplies etc
