Is there anything "safe" that can be given to baby in crib for security?

Is there anything "safe" that can be given to baby in crib for security?

I occasionally used to cover DS with light blanket which I think helped him sleep. I think he liked to feel it. I stopped giving it to him because of fear of SIDS. He's almost 6 months. Is there ANYTHING safe to give infant in crib? I know they say not to put anything in crib with baby, but does anyone know if there is a blanket of stuffed animal specifically made for crib use? Kind of along the lines of a breathable bumper, I guess...

Thanks!

Not that I know of. Many people use the sleep saks instead of a blanket.

I am relaxed when it comes to the crib, but DO go in to check on her every now and then. She has a blanket, her precious moments angel that she holds when she sleeps, about 7 pacifiers her doll/blanket, and about 6 or so stuffed animals. Those are more to occupy her when she wakes up so I can zzzzzzzz some more.

Maybe try a knitted blanket with larger holes?

My son has been sleeping with a stuffed monkey since he was about 5 months old. He also has a fleece blanket in there.
