Re: is there a plan?

first, congrats!! As far as a week-by-week guide, I signed up for babycenter and get weekly updates every week (which I love).

I would also just read through about a couple pages of posts, you'll learn more here than any doctor could possibly tell you.

Also, start taking some pre-natals (over the counters are cool). I used CVS brand

I started taking the GNC prenatals.

Are there any books that you recommend?

Re: is there a plan?

Congratulations! If you're not taking prenatal vitamins, I'd start taking them now. Any OTC brand should be fine. If you exercise, you can continue doing what you're doing (except maybe ab exercises), but make sure your heart rate is below 140 bpm. Drink lots of water and try to eat healthy, but if you're not feeling well, just eat whatever you can keep down. As far as foods to avoid, there are a bunch of websites with lists. You need to do what you feel comfortable with. Some people will avoid the foods on the lists entirely while others will have them in moderation.

If you want, you can buy a pregnancy book. I like Your Pregnancy: Week By Week. For a fun read, Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy and Belly Laughs are great.

The ones that Brooke suggested are better. This one is good but it lumps everything into months and has a strange format. I really like the week by week book.

Congratulations!!

Congrats, I would start yourself on an otc prenatal/folic acid. I would recommend buying the book your pregnancy week by week, I prefer this one over What to Expect... Drink lots of water...This board and the book will help lots.

Happy and healthy 9 months!
