Is the term "top 40" used anymore?
We are in the car and I was saying how a song had such a top 40 sound. Then I asked DH If anyone called music top 40 anymore and he said no. So I figured I would ask you who know everything!

I know what you mean, but I think it's just referred to as "Pop" music now.

Billboard.com still uses it. http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/charts/chart_display.jsp?f=Hot+Adult+Top+40+Tracks&g=Singles
Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_40
Rick Dees has a Top 40: http://www.rick.com/
Z100 is listed as a "Top 40" radio station.
