is something wrong with my hunidifier? is this normal?

DS has been sick so ive been using my cool mist humidifier as per the doctor but every morning the floor in front of it is SOAKED! i put a towel down but it doesnt help since his room is carpet.
is it supposed to be that wet or maybe my humidifier is broke? it is a few years old

i figure that where the air is misting may get a littl edamp but this seems excessive. does this happen to you?

Something is wrong. It should NOT be soaked.
We have a few humidifiers we have and none of them soak the floor. Even at the highest setting.
It's just a mist
Did you try lowering the setting?
Maybe get another one. Cheap ones are fine and do the trick.

Did you try the Vicks Plug Ins as well for your sick DS?
I find with the plug in and humidifier it helps more. You walk in the room and can breathe. LOL

It shouldn't be wet anywhere but just where the mist immediately comes out. What brand/model do you have? What level is it set to? Maybe if you turn it down a bit, it won't spray so much water in the air, and on the floor. Is the vent on correctly?

We had the same problem with the new Vicks one we bought. Worst, it soaked the dresser and warped the wood Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

This happens to us if we put ours on high. We just lower the level to med.

its a few years old and its from walgreens, actually says walgreens on the base. theres no setting, just on and off, i can only turn the nozzle to aim the mist. i think maybe the sun has set on this one. time to get a new one.

thanks ladies
