Is Level II the 3d ultrasound?
I see many women here post these yellow/black pictures where you can see the baby's face clearly. Is that what I will expect to see at my Level II?

Prob not- the yellowish ones are the 3d/4d sonos! Unless your doc has the machine that can convert over to a 3d/4d you will most likely get pics like all your other ones!

NO, It will measure all the parts in the heart, head etc. You can also find out the sex (If you choose). The 3d I believe is around 27-30 weeks.

My doctor's office has this so I always get a few 3D pictures at each sono. If the machine at your doctor's office doesn't have this and you want 3D pictures, you'll have to go somewhere and pay for that.

Is the 3d not included in normal insurance coverage?
I have Empire PPO from my work, which is supposed to cover all prenatal care. Then DH also upgraded to the highest PPO given to physicians at the hospital he works at so I think we would be covered if it a "normal" obgyn cost?

Most insurance won't cover a 3D sono although some OB offices have the machine and may give you some pics in 3D. We paid for our 3D sonos out of pocket. Insurance does not consider it necessary to have them done usually.

Can I ask how much the out of pocket cost is?
