Is there really anything for him to do there. I checked out their website and they have a kiddie area but it just seems like everything they have for the kids is inside this one pool that they have. I don't know...

Since we are not going away on a big vacation we decided to just do local stuff. My friend who lives in Melville has a whole week off from work in August and has invited us to stay at their house so we can do stuff together out in LI. They have a DS who is 5 months younger than my DS.

One of the places we were thinking of going to is Splish Splish but were wondering if it is worth taking our toddlers there. Or if there are other places you ladies can suggest.

Yes def. I am taking Andrew this year. I love that place.

I would check out the Riverhead Aquarium too. It is out by Splish Splash.

We are also planning on taking DS there this summer. You should also go to Adventureland. Chat Icon

Yes we plan on it because my friend lives 10 minutes from there and is also 5 minutes from white post farms.

Oh yeah Adventureland is great for his age. The entire one side of the park is all with rides for his age. Andrew had a blast there.

If you go to Splish Splash, look into booking one of the cabana's they have that are located right by the kiddie area. Last summer it was $120 for the day and you can have a max of 6 people (you get bracelets to let them know you "belong") We went last year and wound up having 7 adults and my DD (who was 8 at the time) My dad gave the girl $20 and she "looked the other way" for the extra 2 people.

And another upside is you can have your lunch delivered right to the cabana! Which is GREAT because you don't have to stand on ANY LINES!!

IMO, the cabana was worth it because trying to find 8 chairs all together would have been hard!! It was also nice when we wanted to relax. Just be sure to get the ones by the kiddie area not the wave pool b/c those are LOUD from the music right there, and they are on the total opposite side of the park from the kiddie area.
