is it safe to take hot showers?
i really love my hot showers, but was wondering since it's not safe to be in a hot tub is it ok to take a really hot shower?

I've never heard that it is not safe to take hot showers. Your body isn't really submerged in the water to raise your temperature like a hot tub does.

Its fine because you don't have your belly submerged in the same way as in a tub so you don't internally heat up as much.

That's what I would think too...Your body temperature doesn't really raise like it would in a hot tub.

I heard that it is best to turn down the temp a bit. I could not tolerate hot showers or steam when I was pregnant. I had to leave the bathroom door slightly opened to let out the steam. I used the ceiling fan, too.

Yeah, this is what I was told. The nurse at my Drs. office said hot showers and warm baths are fine, but she said NO to hot-tubs/whrilpools.--things like that.

i LOVE hot showers but I must admit, I always apologize to the baby while I am taking one and pray that I am not boiling him/her while I am in there LOL!
