Is it possible for a 7wk old to refuse to nap.

Shes been sleeping really well at night. she wakes up at like 3am for a 10 min feeding-- i tried to keep her up for longer but just wont stay up. Then lately shes been sleeping to anywere from 7-8am. But during day she seems to fight it. I rock her in my arms and falls asleep but once i put her down she wakes up, my father is taking her for walk right now, shell sleep and then once she gets home she awakes. Shes very tired all she does is cry and i feel horrible.

Could she this young refuse to sleep or do you think theres something else bothering her? She does have a diaper rash and i been on top of changing her constantly so she doesnt have her poor tushie in wet stuff/or poop.

You're probably missing her "window" and don't even realize it yet. I know that's what we did. Once I figured out when to put him down, he napped much better. He was never, and still isn't the greatest napper in the world, but he does get sufficient sleep. I think at that age they're only supposed to be awake for 1.5-2 hour stretches.

DS is only 4 weeks but this sounds EXACTLY like him. Getting him down is a challenge and I keep trying to time his "window" and last week I think it was too early, now too late. It so stressful trying to figure this all out Chat Icon
