Is it normal to be so nervous?
I am so nervous with this pregnancy. Last time I didn't even have these thoughts.
Maybe its because we got pregnant on our first try or maybe its because my FIL passed away and its been so emotional. Tomorrow we go for the ultrasound to hear the baby's heartbeat and I don't know why I am panicing.
I keep thinking/having nightmares that I will go tomorrow and they will tell me that there is no heartbeat. Why am I torturing myself?
Please tell me its normal.

I think it is.
I know I have been a nervous wreck since the start.
I dread every appt- every ultrasound- every test- because I worry they will find something wrong.
I even hold my breath at each appt when they use the doppler to find the heartbeat- sometimes it takes longer and I freak out.
To me this is a very scary, nerve wracking time- because you are responsible for a life and you have NO control over what is going on in there.
I really think it's 100% normal- not that that makes it any easier!

I hope so bc this is my second pregnancy and i am so much more nervous then the first time with DD..Maybe bc I do not have any sickness, not sure, but at 18 weeks i am slowly relaxing about it, but i think in 2 weeks when i go for my 20 week sono i will be better.

Yeah, I go through periods where I'm really panicking and periods where I'm super excited and have no worries at all.
It's scary to know we have to be the one's responsible for making sure this baby is well taken care off from the start. It's a lot of pressure and we are hormonal and sensitive so some days it hits us.
Try to take a few deep breathes, stay positive b/c odds r things r perfect

I am so nervous too - i am so scared at every sono and also hold my breath til they find the heartbeat.
I am trying my best to stay calm - but am driving everyone around me crazy!!

I'm always nervous even at 21 weeks. Every time I go for a sono or to the drs I start to freak out a little bit that something will be wrong. Pregnancy is scary thing because its the unknown.

It's totally normal to feel nervous. Whether it's your first, second, etc. Nerves will always be part of it.

I was so like that in the beginning...after hearing stories on this board and googling, it was hard not think like that. You will be fine don't worry.

ITA...for me, i find that as i progress and get further along, i get less nervous
i found that talking to my doctor, reading books, and educating myself about the ins and outs of pregnancy really helped me to be more calm about everything

The same thing happened to me with this pg.
For some reason I kept having all these bad thoughts and being so nervous.
I think I was not like this the first time around because I was sooooo excited and it was so new.
It didn't pass for me until about 12-13 weeks.

I am the same way this time. For my 1st two pregnancies, I don't remember being nervous at all...my DH is the nervous one. 
But my 3rd pregnancy ended in a m/c and then it took a year to conceive again. Now I'm a nervous wreck still at almost 12.5 weeks. I told my immediate family and very close friends right away, but no extended family or other friends know (or any mom friends at my DDs' schools). Every time I'm about to tell someone, something just holds me back; I think I'm just petrified of something going wrong. My ultrascreen is tomorrow, so I hope I will loosen up after that.

im also a nervous wreck! I have the no heartbeat dream atleast once a week!! i had one before my first sonogram, and that turned out fine. Now I keep having that dream anticipating my nuchal sonogram on may 11th... I think its totally normal. Each pregnancy is different on y our body, the hormones change.. Im sure you will level out soon. I seem to level out a little each day... How far along are you?

Yeah I've been the same way
I'm always a worrier, so it doesn't surprise me that I'm panicked about the baby 24 hours a day!
I get especially antsy and anxious with the doctor's appointments..
