Is it bad to put cereal in the bottle if its not for reflux?
DS is waking up every 3 hours during the night to eat and I am beyond exhausted. He is not really interested in eating cereal. A bunch of people told me to put cereal in the bottle. Is this ok to do?

I can tell you that we did with Ali and it took her forever to go back to the spoon again. (she was taking it on the spoon first)
I think everyone will be different though.
My opinion is that I wouldn't advise it, but see what others have to say.

That's an old wives tale Jess...
I have read MANY posts from women on here that have done the same thing and it didn't work for them.
Have you tried upping his form intake?

I would def. not do it without the peds ok. And, there is no guarantee that he will sleep any better - my son didn't. We had to put cereal in the bottle bc he was so big and was getting too much formula a day.
I know there are many reasons people say not to put cereal in the bottle.
Talk to your ped about it! 
How much formula a day is he getting? Maybe increase the ozs in his bottle?

See he is being finicky with his bottles I am guessing from teething. Lately he has been waking for an 11:00 bottle and he still wakes 3 hours later and then 3 hours later.

I was just going to post the same question. DS only sleeps about 3-4 hours during the night. I'm going back to work soon, and wanted him to sleep a bit better.

Are his bottles scheduled or are you feeding him on demand?
DS is 3.5 months and he gets 5 x 8oz bottles a day (in 3.5 hour intervals). He usually leaves about 6 oz total, so he ends up getting about 34 oz a day.
Maybe you need to start scheduling his bottles?

At K's 4 month ped appointment, I was told to start feeding her cereal 2x per day, and start introducing veggies to her 2x per day also (2oz per feed).
I would keep working on him with the cereal, and see how it goes. I know that you are having probs with it - did you try mixing in some fruit into his cereal yet?

Yup they are scheduled. He eats every 3 hours.

We tried a couple of times to put cereal in Kaydyn's bottle but honestly it didn't make her sleep any better.
