Is it bad if.... ??? (thank you card related)
Is it bad if I type the message in the thank you cards? I would still personalize each one, and thank them for their specific gift but it wouldnt be handwritten.
I did a few and my hand feels like its going to fall off PLUS I HATE MY HANDWRITING!!
Tell me the truth?

I personally would not be offended getting a typed Thank you card if it was personalized. I remember hand writing all my wedding thank yous; by the time I got to the last ones it looked like a 2 year old was writing them

I don't think it is bad to type it, as long as you do personalize each one and don't just put a generic message in there.

I think it's fine either way. Do you have a typewriter? I haven't seen one of those in forever!!!
I'd probably just buy cards that say "Thank you" pre-printed in them and just write a sentence or two. You don't have a write a novel. I wrote novels in my wedding TYs and it was awful by the end. My wrist was killing me!

To me it doesn't matter at all, but there will be people out there who get offended.

I wouldnt be offended at all if I got something like that- imo you are still taking the time to personalize it- not to mention the fact that you are pregnant and probably exhausted
I think people will understand

Re: Is it bad if.... ??? (thank you card related)
Thank you ladies... I have started typing them out (on the computer). OMG, its so much easier than handwriting them.
I have the list of gifts that people gave me, so I'm trying to personalize them as much as possible.
Thank you for the reassurance

That a great idea...question how are you putting it on the card...are you using sticky labels or its printed on the actual card?
Thank you!!

I think as long as they're all different, it's fine.

Hi! I ordered the thank you cards at the same time I ordered the invites (cause they matched lol).
The card flips open from bottom to top. I made text boxes in Microsoft word and typed a small paragraph in there. Then I printed them out and with double stick tape put it in the thank you card where you would normally hand write the message.
It looks really nice actually cause I used dark pink color for the writing and it matches the thank you card, I also picked the nicest script for the font (10X better than my handwriting)!!! LOL
HTH and it made sense lol

I had a thank you message and our names printed on the inside I'll add a personalized thank you sentence also.

Re: Is it bad if.... ??? (thank you card related)
I did this with my wedding thank yous and had a TON of people comment on how nice it was because I wrote alot (i'm a really fast typer) and made it so personal that it was nicer than a hand written card....
We were actually able to feed the cards into our printer...so they looked really good!

Re: Is it bad if.... ??? (thank you card related)
I have received many thank you cards with a preprinted typed message. I have a huge family so it is really difficult to write everything out by hand. I am never offended, I understand, everyone is very busy these days. I did my wedding thank yous this way and I will do shower, christening, etc. the same.
IMO...One thing that does offend me though, is when people attach the thank you cards to the favor. Or hand them out at the party preprinted. That I think is really rude. You feel like you and your gift will never be thought about again once you walk out, lol.
But otherwise, pretype away.
