Is it a rule??
That your realtor cannot find out what another realtor's customer's bid was? I think she knows what the bid is and isn't telling us...

Re: Is it a rule??
Sometimes the listing agent won't reveal that information (under the guise that it is in the best interest of the seller so that they get the most $$$) - sometimes they will reveal the info to the other agent's.
It's not a rule, but it's still svcky all the same

Re: Is it a rule??
I don't know if it is a rule or not but I believe they keep it to themselves even if they know. It may be that two agents are working together even if they took you to the house they may know the bid & just won't say. This happened to me & my DH we ended up getting the house but came up from our original bid because there were "other bidders" and they were higher than us. I am still wondering if there were any other bidders.

Re: Is it a rule??
Someone else put a bid on our house with a different realtor. Our realtor told us their bid, and he even told us the other bidders terms ($ down and what they were paying in cash).
