Doesn't hurt to have a cpl gallons of clean water. I fill up a few quarts from my filter just incase crazy flooding messes up our water supply (main issues, breaks, etc) ya never know
We have gas for the generator so we can run the basics incase power goes out and the pumps ready incase we flood.
Hoping it's not too bad

Not really. I've got milk, wine and beer. Went food shopping yesterday because we have a BBQ today. Plan on cooking and baking a little tomorrow and cleaning on Monday. It's yucky outside, overcast, cool and breezy, but humid.

I went food shopping yesterday because I had to we literally had 1 yogurt and some strange left overs in the fridge! I didn't do a big shopping bought a bunch of meat a few other things and a few non perishables for snacks and stuff I need to make sure I have stuff to fuel myself and the babies in tow. If we lose power we can still cool with our stove and DH can just BBQ everything. I have one case of water. Being pregnant I've been going through water by the gallon hourly so I got a case from rite aid- - $2.99. Other than that we have the filter on the tap and we keep a pitcher filled in the fridge on a normal basis. To be honest I always get gas and snacks- sandy and the gas lines have me scarred lol

DH is big on always having an extra case or two of bottled water on hand when a big storm is predicted. He's also going to make sure we have gas for our generator. Otherwise not going out to buy anything special for the storm.

I just did my normal Saturday shopping but the grocery store was really packed and people were filling their carts - and this was early in the morning so I imagine the mad rush will get worse as the weatherpeople keep giving more and more gruesome forecasts.

Sure did...but we need water anyway. We don't drink our tap water (smells like chlorine, and I don't drink pool water, so won't drink it from the tap unless we have nothing else )

We always have extra bottled water in the house. But I have to run to the store in a bit to buy bread and fruit. Not really stocking up on anything else.

A brita or fridge filter will remove the chlorine. My tap water is more chlorinated than my swimming pool but with the Brita you'd never know it. So much better for the environment than bottled water.

I hope they all have fun eating it all now that the storm was a huge bust.

I can't do the Brita, something in it gives me headaches..I think it's the carbon. We buy the gallons of water, better than individual bottles I suppose
