Re: is anyone moving while pregnant?
We will be. We need to move into a two bedroom and our lease ends 10/15. I find moving to be one of the most stressful things, so I am NOT looking forward to this at all.
The worst is, we can't even LOOK for an apt until late Aug, because that's the earliest they'll even have Oct 1 apts on the market. Oh, and it's currently a landlords' market with low rental inventory, so I'm sure our rent will pretty much double.
Ok - vent over :)
Last thing - I'll be 32 weeks at that point. Ugh!!

We did my first pregnancy. Moved into our new home when I was around 19-20 weeks. DH did pretty much everything.

Re: is anyone moving while pregnant?
I did with my first and it sucked. I packed up all I could in the second trimester, then they kept holding the closing date later and later. It was totally stressing us out as it got later.
I was due 8/30, we closed on 7/30. We cleaned the house, got new blinds on all the windows, new carpet, painted both bedrooms, etc. We moved in on 8/16 and I delivered DS on 8/17.
Good luck! It's worth it!

ours is up in november but since we're moving within the management company, they're not charging us a fee for breaking the lease. thank goodness because i cant imagine moving at 35 weeks pregnant with twins!
it's definitely a landlord's market but we played on our broker's heartstrings with the twins and he gave us a decent deal.

Re: is anyone moving while pregnant?
Yes! I did! I also had 5 newborn sessions the weekend before so I was wiped out. Packing was helll then and I'm not sure if I could do it now. We had movers so that helped. We moved in over 6 weeks ago and some rooms still have boxes. (my office, nursery and playroom/where mess goes to die room).
I packed, unpacked and moved what I could. Thats all you really can do at this point. Don't overdo it and stop and lay down if you get crampy.

Re: is anyone moving while pregnant?
We did once and will again in a few months. We moved the first time when I was 6 weeks along (so it really doesn't count all that much) and I'll be about 25 weeks when we move the second time. I'm so not looking forward to it, but most of our stuff is in boxes still from the first move and in storage so it shouldn't be as bad.

DH and I are also planning on moving (prob mid-to-late August). I'll be around 30 weeks at that point. Not looking forward to packing/unpacking but it'll be worth it in the end, when we actually have a place to put the little Munchkin

We're moving August 5th.. part of me is looking forward to not having to do the physical part of moving, but Im a control freak so its going to be hard just directing everyone where to go and not actually doing it myself! I'll be 21 weeks.

Re: is anyone moving while pregnant?
I did about 3 weeks ago at 31 weeks! Definitely not a fun experience, and I'm still trying to get settled. We fully renovated the bathroom and kitchen first and did some other updates around the house before we moved in. Thank God for my mom who helped me so much!
Once I felt almost settled we had my baby shower and now I have all of that to sort through. So happy we have more space but a house is a lot of work.
Good Luck!

We moved 2 weeks before my DD was born 5 years ago. It was crazy, hectic, and all that, but it all worked out in the end!

Re: is anyone moving while pregnant?
We just did!!!! We moved from DC back to LI just 2.5 weeks ago and I was 31 weeks pregnant. I did almost all the packing because I'm a control freak lol and let me tell you it was exhausting. We had movers but we also did plenty on our end and it is tough!!! I now have bronchitis and an ear infection and I think it is partly because I pushed myself too hard getting the house ready.

I may be! We should be closing on or around 8/15 and I'm due 9/22! We may end up just staying in our apartment until after baby is here so I will be able to pack and unpack during my maternity leave.

Re: is anyone moving while pregnant?
We were supposed to move in February and it keeps getting pushed beck. It's always in 2 weeks, but two weeks never comes.
I've packed as much as I can and now not only are we living in a tiny apartment but now it's a tiny apartment with boxes lining my walls.
I'm super srtessed out b/c of it.

is anyone moving while pregnant?
Just saw this post, we moved into our new house when I was 34 weeks pg with DD. I found out I was in pre-term labor and constantly contracting with a shortened cervix when I went for my routine weekly NST on moving day. I *thought* I had been taking it easy and only doing light packing/moving small boxes. I was trying to keep up with my water intake but it was hard with all the commotion. I wound up on modified bedrest, which cost me 4 weeks of my maternity leave. Luckily my body calmed down and DD wasn't born until 39 weeks.
Moral of the story, don't overdo it and try to keep your stress level low!!! Our move was extremely stressful, closing date kept getting pushed back, we thought we lost the house on numerous occasions, definitely NOT what you need to deal with at 8mo pregnant. Let other people do things for you and don't be afraid to say when you have too much on your plate. Even light packing can really wear you out when pg!

Re: is anyone moving while pregnant?
We moved into our house 5 days before I was induced. I was on bed rest and wasn't sure if I would even make it to move in day. It was stressful, but worked out in the end.
