Is anyone else NOT gaining any weight?

I am 21 weeks tomorrow. At my appointment today I finally gained 1 pound.


The Dr. says it is fine as long as I am eating healthy (which I am). I eat a balanced diet & splurge here & there.

Still.......... it now is starting to feel weird to me that I am not gaining anything.



And yes.........I KNOW I could be on the oppisite end of the spectrum and be complaining about that I guess!!!!!

Right here with you. I'm almost 18 weeks and they say that i've only gained about 2 pounds. Somehow i think they're wrong.

I wouldn't worry about it yet. I eat tons of food so the fact that i've only gained 2 pounds is astonishing to me. I've just always had a fast metabolism.

I'm sure it will even out later on.

I actually LOST 15 lbs in the first trimester. I didn't have any weight gain until my 17 week appointment and that was just 1 pound. My next appointment is in 1 week so we will see. I think I have gained 2 lbs more, according to my home scale.

Wow... I feel like I am on the other end of the spectrum. I swear I am not eating THAT much more than before and I am definitely exercising less (ok let's be honest - not at all ) and the pounds are packing on.

But kudos to you and I wouldn't worry about it at all if the doc isn't concerned!

I only gained 12 lbs my entire pg (4 of them in the 1st month). As long as the baby was measuring ok my dr didn't have a problem with it at all.

me!! Blessing in disguise. I am over weight to begin with so I am happy and the Dr. is not concerned. I lost 4lbs and still down, not trying but hope to keep watching what I am eating and not gain too much in these last few months.

With my DS I didn't gain anything the 1st trimester and by 16 weeks I was only up 1 lb. I made up for it at the end though, gaining 35 lbs total. With this pregnancy I didn't gain anything in the beginning either and so far I've gained about 17-18 lbs at 30 weeks. My doctors were never concerned about it.

OK! Good..........I feel more normal!


And techically, I really should add that actually I have lost weight.

I lost 6 pounds from the 1st to 2nd appt. Stayed the same at th enext & gained 1 this time. So am still 5 pounds less then before my BFP!


And I too am overweight (deceivingly so.........I am tall, so the extra 40 pounds I carry doesn't look as much) so this is weight thing is not totally bad!

I gain about 4 pounds at about 12 weeks. I was nervous and asked my doctor about it too. He said it was normal for me. Well by 20 weeks I had gained about 15 pounds, so the weight creeped on.

Don't worry, it's all normal.

Im at 27 weeks and I have lost about 10 pounds....which is shocking since I feel like Im always eating. I am overweight so my Dr. is not concerned. The baby is growing and developing well. Im hoping to just maintain my weight for the rest of the pregnancy...Im not sure if that's really possible...we will see.
