Is a snap and go enough for first 6m or do I need another stroller?
We bought the maxi cosi and car seat stroller frame. We plan to go to Florida, California and a few driving beach trips over the next few months.
Do I need another stroller or will the car seat plus frame be enough?
I know I will need a lightweight stroller when DD eventually outgrows her infant car seat. We will need to bring the infant car seat wherever we are going anyways so prefer not to lug more gear than we need to.
DH is all about decluttering. Our garage is already full of bikes and sports gear. He doesn't want to get another stroller until we get rid of the frame stroller we just got.

I would say yes! I rarely used anything else for the whole first year.

Same - we went straight from the Snap and Go into the Maclaren.

Does it work in hot weather?
Wondering if the car seat would get hot like on a NJ boardwalk in the middle of July.

Not sure what car seat and stroller you have or are planning to buy but we bought the attachment to allow the infant seat to snap onto the City Mini. It's a tiny bit annoying getting the seat on and off but otherwise it's great. Then once the baby's a little older you have the option to use the stroller either way.

By then she would probably be close to 6 months so if you felt it would be too hot, you could put her in your next stroller.
I had no problem with DS 2 (born in March) being too hot in the carseat in the stroller over the summer.

I only used the snap and go but both my kids were winter babies. I still think you can get away with but when I went to FL when they were still in the infant car seat I did bring the regular stroller because I thought it would be too hot for them to be in the infant carrier while walking around

The snap n go was the only stroller we used except for the rare occasion where we used the double.

Ds is 10 Months and we have used the snap and go for most outings. The only times we use the regular stroller is if he is awake while we're out bc he hates being in his car seat unless he is sleeping. But not all babies are like that. And most of the time he falls asleep in his carseat in the car and then we're done with our errands before he wakes anyway, so we just use the snap and go. Over the summer, on really hot days I preferred to use the regular stroller so wouldn't get too hot cooped up in his carseat. But yes, for the first 6 months and beyond the snap and go is great. I love it!

totally... We have a graco with snap and go, and we also have a city select that I keep in the garage for walks. DD was born in the summer, so I used my city select a decent amount in the late summer/early fall. Mostly, I used the snap and go, though. DD is 7 months old now, and that's really all I use. When she grows out of her infant seat in another month or two, I will keep a maclaren in my trunk for errands and whatnot.
