Apple rarely discounts their products.
If you have a costco membership, i know they offer a couple bucks off.
I know a popular place to get them from is Target where they always have a coupon that you can use online for anything...

you have to be careful on ebay - as you might not get the apple brand - they will list an "ipod nano" but in small print somewhere (not noticeable unless you read every single line) it will say "this is not the apple brand."

I would say the Apple Store unless some store is giving away something free with Nanos. Sometimes they might give an incentive but they are rarely discounted.

Apple is price fixed, so if you want a discount, like others said I would go to Costco or Target with a coupon. Other stores that have coupons (i.e. Best Buy, Circuit City) will specifically exclude Apple products.
