Iphone will be on Verizon network in Jan
I know it kept being said but i have heard now from four sources that are reliable. I still might just get the droid anyway must think long and hard on this one.

I do NOT understand why this rumor keeps going round and round.
The exclusivity agreement with Apple and AT&T is not set to expire until 2012. They signed a 5 year contract back in 2007, when the iPhone first came out.
Verizon's network is still CDMA -- the iPhone needs to run on a GSM network (which AT&T has). Unless they create a CDMA iphone, I don't see it happening. Even if they did, one of the main selling points of the iphone...that you can surf the web and be on the phone at the same time....wouldn't be possible on a CDMA network.
I know Verizon is trying to create a brand new network by summer of next year, that will be compatible with the iPhone coming in 2012. That's why I have always read that it can't come before 2012, Verizon neither has the network or the rights to the iPhone until then.

too add, there are great phones besides an iPhone. Most droids are faster and they all do the same thing. There are more apps on each then you can count.

Looks like it is all still speculation. I can't seem to find anything that says it is going to be definite.
