IPhone upgrade advice needed!
I currently have the 3G. Had it for 2 years and it's just fine. I qualify for an upgrade. I called on Sunday and the representative told me that if I wait until tomorrow, I can upgrade to the new iPhone 5 for $199 or the last model of the iPhone 4 for $99.
I use my phone for EVERYTHING!
What would you do? Get the 4 bring that you've only known the 3G and aren't aware if the awesomeness if the newer versions or get the 5 and keep that one for another 2 years? The difference is $100. (unless there are some hidden charges I'm unaware of!!!)

I would go for the 5! The 4 is awesome and likely the operating system of 5 will be available for 4, but I would rather have new technology than old

The representative said two of the jor upgrades were the camera and video features as well as the speed of the phone in general and clarity of the screen.

It doesn't sound like there are major changes between the 4 and the 5 so if you need the $100 more than you need the new technology, I'd get the 4. If you want the new one more than the $100 then I'd get the 5.
If it was me, I'd probably get the 5. They change so often that in 2 years the 4 will be a clunker!

I'd get the newer one. If you get the old one, by next week it will be "out of date" when the new one comes out so you'll be stuck with an older model for 2 years. If you get the new one, it'll still be new for at least the next year. JMO.
I have an upgrade that I'm using towards the new iphone.

I have the 4 and love it but I also say you should go with whatever the newest one out is.
Either way, you can't go wrong! iPhones are great!

I didn't realize Verizon leaked that the Iphone 5 is actually coming!!! I know the apple conference is being held today! I myself am entitled to the upgrade as well! I can't wait to kick my blackberry to the curb! But I was holding out for the Iphone 5 to see what the difference is. But I would go with the 5! I have an unlimited data package so thank god i'm grandfathered in for that!!

God, I hope not!!!! From the original post a sales rep said after today customers will be able to purchase the 5!! Let's hope all carriers are getting it! I believe the conference is at 1pm today so we shall see this afternoon!!!
