Introducing milk?
How does it work? She takes 3 8oz bottles of milk a day. Do I change over 2 oz at a time with 6oz formula? In a cup or bottle? Same schedule? What type of milk?

Re: Introducing milk?
I'd replace 2oz of milk with 2oz of formula over a period of time. We use whole organic milk, all different brands. I'd keep her on the same schedule for now. As far as bottles go, I see no reason to rush to transition to cups, but I suppose that's a personal preference.

Introducing milk?
I started to transition to milk an ounce at a time, waiting 3-4 days before going to the next step. Once I got to 6 milk I went right to 8 milk from there.
Personally I also started the transition to straw cups for milk then too. Both DS and DD had veen using them for water from 5.5 months on so by 11 months they were pros. I started by replacing the mid day bottle because that is the one I figured didn't matter if they lost. I went to the morning bottle next and then the night one. My son was off bottles 2 days before his 1st birthday and my DD was off at 11.5 months.

Introducing milk?
My DD's wouldn't transition to the sippy cup at 10 1/2 months, and I had a hard time trying to force them. But, at 11 months, I started to mix in some organic whole milk into the bottles. Like the others said, I started to increase it until it was straight milk. By then, they were drinking it out of a sippy cup because it tasted so good! My pediatrician called it- he said don't stress over it, and it will happen when milk happens. Sure enough...

Re: Introducing milk?
i'm about to start today. I will replace 1 oz formula with 1 oz whole organic milk (wholefoods, target, trader joes) in a 6 oz bottle until I get to 6 ozs probably over 2 weeks time. Every few days I will up the milk ozs.
We are down to 1-2 bottles per day but I have formula to use up so I will probably do 2 bottles a day.
As soon as we are on full milk I will get rid of bottles and do 2 straw sippys of milk per day. Breakfast and before bedtime. (hopefully she won't care about the nighttime bottle)
dd1 never cared about getting rid of her bottles. In fact starting today I am going today I am going to start giving her last bottle before bedtime instead of rocking her with it.
Milk can be constipating and we already have issues with that, that is why I am going slow with the transition
