intro
hi everyone,
i'm just beginning down this road after an early m/c (oct-nov) and a chemical pregnancy (may). i had a consult with dr. san roman a few weeks ago, and after AF arrived yesterday to my routine disappointment, i have my first cycle monitoring appt tomorrow. i'm a little scared only because i'm afraid i'll find out something is really wrong, but on the other hand, i'm relieved that i'll finally have some answers after going through many months of anxiety over this with not-so-thorough gyns.
lurking through these posts here, i admire the strength and hope your girls have shown me. it helps me feel more positive about the future. baby dust to all
ETA: I just spotted the intro post. sorry about not following the rules. i was going to delete & post there but i don't have a lot of the info about diagnosis and am feeling private about names & ages. hope everyone understands.

Re: .
does your RE do blood clotting (thrombophilia) and immune testing??
if not i highly recommend you see one that does, specifically because multiple chemicals/early m/cs tend to be caused by easily treatable issues in those areas. the problem is most doctors and even many REs dont know to look for those issues.
anyway i am sorry that you have to go through this and i hope your stay here is short!!

when i had bloodwork done a few weeks ago, clotting was definitely on the script. i'm not sure about immunity, but i'll ask when we have our 2nd consult next week to discuss the blood results.

Re: intro
First off, welcome, I hope your stay on this board is short
I am sorry for your losses, I can understand your pain and frustration.
I agree with pp, I would insist with more testing....the repeat miscarriage panel, as well as immune, HLA and anti heparin testing.
I know its scary, but if they find a problem, then they can fix it and you will be on your way towards a BFP.
As for the strength part, it’s day by day, one step in front of the other, lean on family, friends and us :)
Best of luck to you !!

Welcome! I hope your stay here is short
I felt the same way when DH and I started seeing an RE. We wanted answers but were also nervous to get them. Now that we are in the process, it feels good to be doing something. I hope it's the same for you!
