Interview help
Hi all!
I was contacted last Friday for an interview! It's for a Reading Aid position I applied for in the local school district here..
It has been a long time since I've been on a teaching interview! I am a NYS certified teacher, but I live in CT... I have not been in the field for some time... This is for a part time position.
Can any fellow teachers suggest what I should wear and maybe some questions I can expect they will ask me? I have over 5 years of various teaching in NY in various teaching roles. I have a provisional certificate where I live now... and a permanent in NY. Both of my kids attend a different school in the district and I am sort of familiar with their reading programs, but I am also looking them up and familiarizing myself. I have not been on an interview in over 10 years! What can I expect on an interview like this? Any advice would be great TIA!

Interview help
I'd love to send you information. Can you please pm me your email address? School districts out here on Long Island are different than anywhere else, and are pretty particular about certain things.

Re: Interview help
as far as dressing -- nice slacks and a button-down or flowy blouse
popular programs include fundations, wilson, orton-gillingham...
talk about how you'd collaborate with your colleagues to maximize instruction

Thank you so much for your reply and offer! The job is in CT though. I am not sure if that still applies up here? I have never been on an interview here before.
Thanks again!
