Internet Fraud

From my post yesterday about the phoney Money order email I got from a buyer for my used playstation 1 and 2 games. If this happened to you, would you report it?

I know the item was only $40 with shipping but its just the point that this person may be doing this to other people.....

Would you contact someone about this or would you just leave it alone and move on??

Absolutely!

The person may be starting small, to see if they can get away with it. This person may start doing it for larger ticket items and really cost someone a lot of money.

I personally would report it! I got a call a few weeks ago from someone at Western Union asking if I was trying to send a money order to Canada for $500. I wasn't, someone stole my cc info online and called western union with all my info....

I called my cc comp and filed a formal complaint and apparently they are "investigating"... which they prob aren't.. but it made me feel better hearing they were..lol

Chase that mother effer!

Internet Fraud Compaint Center, a partnership with the FBI & the National White Collar Crime Center

USPS Mail Fraud Complaint Form

I think you can file a USPS mail fraud claim- it covers wrong doing that used the USPS mail system.

Fraud.org

Also, don't forget to fill out an Unpaid Item Dispute for Ebay, and add teh buyer to your blocked bidder list.

Good luck!

Ahh, sorry about that. I would still try to file all the fraud complaints, though!
