Internet Explorer 7 Upgrade
I stupidly listened to microsoft and upgraded my internet explorer to 7.0. Ever since then my internet does not work. Luckily we have a router and I can use my DH laptop but still I want my computer back. I tried uninstalling it but it still doesn't work. I called my internet provider and they can't fix it. Microsoft wants me to pay $35 to troubleshoot the problem with me- money I don't think I have to pay to fix a problem they created.
I am so annoyed I can't even tell you!

Once you download IE 7 I don't think you can download IE 6. I've tried. I have even removed the files and it says "You already have the latest version" or something like that

Re: Internet Explorer 7 Upgrade
if you using xp, it should of made a restore point on your computer...restore your computer back to before the install of IE7 (start, all programs, accessiroes, system, system restore)
i had IE7 when it first went beta, never a problem....

I did a system restore and thank God it worked. I actually got the infomation to do this while on hold with Dell. Why couldn't Microsoft recommend doing that???!!!!!!

To move address bar, right click on an empty space of any toolbar..click to unlock the toolbars (by defualt, its check) Now with it uncheck, you can stack your toolbars in any order
favorites took a while to get use to but in a way, its in the same place...you can also lock the favorites on the left side once you have it open with the top right button in favorites menu.
hope this helps

Re: Internet Explorer 7 Upgrade
My company has a block on IE7, and they sent an email out saying not to install it. It's been officially documented by several software vendors that it will break the tools we use. I use Firefox at home exclusively, and for almost everything at work.

Re: Internet Explorer 7 Upgrade
uninstall IE7. Once you remove it, your system will go back to using IE6. I did this on my FIL computer.
