Internet Banks for mortgages
Anyone use a bank that is not a brick & mortar bank?
Any advice?

we got our initial mortgage through e-loan in 2004. It was a very smooth process (we were sold off to IndyMac a few months later)

Does it matter if the loan gets sold off? Are these banks highly rated safe places to finance the largest investment you will even own?

Most mortgages are sold within a few months of closing - it means nothing to the homeowner other than changing where you send your payment.
I wouldn't go with a no name random site, but I'd trust the big online names.
