International cell plan

I'm going to Europe next month for 6 days for work and want to use my Verizon cell plan. any hints/advice?
The rep is saying I can pay $5/mo to get a rate of $0.99/min for voice or pa $1.29/min without the monthly fee.
Data is 100mb for $25 while I'm there. I think I'll burn through it very quickly, no?

International cell plan

in 6 days probably not as fast as you think, although i tell our employees to try to connect to wifi whenever possible. How much data do you use in a month normally? People think they use a lot but they really dont.

If you're traveling for work, is your company paying?

You should probably just add the international calling feature for 1 month, then take it off. It's worth it.

Other option is to see if you can borrow a Blackberry (or whatever) from the company that already has an international calling plan.

Last option is to rent a cell phone. It's pretty common in some countries. Not sure where you're traveling to.

Yes, it's for work but I am self-employed (consultant). My client will probably reimburse me for most of the costs incurred but they shouldn't have to pay for my Skype chats with my DCs. Chat Icon
