Insurance question for the experts!
Hi ladies, I called up my insurance company today wondering about IF coverage since its coming up on a year we've been trying. He representative said we are one hundred recent covered for all fertility treatments for doctors in network with no life time limit and 70% covered out of network. To me this sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else had their treatments covered? And or what's the catch! ? Tia

Re: Insurance question for the experts!
we are 100% covered for all treatments and medications and no copay because we use a center of excellence. The only difference is that we have a lifetime max of 50K (but a whole IVF cycle is only 6K because of reduced rates that have worked out with the insurance company).

I'm 100% covered as well as the pp. We don't even pay co-pays because we use a center of excellence.

I HOPE this is the case for you. I just want to warn you of what happened to me. I called my insurance company to ask about IVF coverage. She read to me my "infertility" coverage was 90% for in-network. Blah, blah, blah. What she did not know or tell me was this does not cover the exceptions, which included IVF. It was only when we went for approval and were denied that we found out we had to pay for everything out of pocket.
But again, I hope your coverage is better than mine.
