Insurance help needed

I went to the er and was admitted the first week of January. We had been waiting to hear if our application for insurance through the exchange was granted but as of the date of my admission, we hadn't heard. We decided to just pay for cobra through DH's old job for the month so we knew for sure I was insured for the duration of my stay. Of course the week after, we got the information that our application was accepted and we were put on Medicare for the month of January since we had no income. Now I'm starting to get hospital bills for my deductible but some of the eobs show that part of my treatment, specifically my surgery, was out of network. Can I submit the information for Medicare to the hospital and use it as secondary insurance?

I think the entire thing would be covered by medicaid. You can send the info to the hospital and they should re-process it under medicaid.

yes that just happened to my husband, Medicaid picked up the outstanding bills that the primary didn't pay

My primary insurance has been issuing me the checks and then I have to pay the hospital. I'm getting checks every day for every single procedure I had.
