Does anyone know if your health insurance coverage continues while your on short term disability?

Yes it does. My Dh was out for two months bc of an injury and he still had insurance coverage and my job confirmed that I will be still be covered so I think it's standard. If anything check with your hr

insurance coverage?
Yes, mine did. but hr told me that if I stayed out longer than 12 weeks I would have to pay for Cobra, which is about $2k a month!!!!

I was told I just have to pay my portion of the premium which is whatever they take out of your check weekly or biweekly.

thanks just looking to get opinions since we have no HR and the relationship between my employer and I is ricky right now to say the least. would rather not ask right now if i don't have to althoughi will def ask when it becomes necessary.

Yes mine does. i just met with HR today and they said if i choose to take any extra time unpaid i would have to pay my insurance that normally comes out of my check.

insurance coverage?
Yes, it does. It also continues during any upaid FMLA leave (required by law), you would just be responsibly for your portion of the premium and your company would most likely collect that once you return.
