Re: insurance?

I really would NOT take a job without insurance, especially while pregnant. I'm not entirely sure that all pregnant women are entitled to health insurance. I do believe there are very strict income guidelines. My c-section would have cost me 50K if I didn't have insurance, and you don't want to have to pay that out of pocket. Good luck!

Re: insurance?

Well technically you are also entitled to COBRA from your previous job, although it tends to get expensive, but its better than nothing until your new job insurance would kick in.

Good luck!

Re: insurance?

I would do like Cindy suggests - pay for the COBRA until your new insurance kicks in. I would not risk having no insurance while pregnant.

Re: insurance?

Many jobs have insurance that is effective immediately. I've never had one that starts after 3 months. I would also ask questions about maternity benefits, be upfront that you are pregnant because FMLA will not pertain to you.
