Instilling confidence in child
My DD is 7 and this year (2nd grade) she has experienced some issues at school with her friends / classmates etc where she has felt intimidated and didn't quite know how to handle situations. She is pretty confident but can clam up in a situation where she comes up against a stronger person - she will always back down and then cry about it to me later that evening.
SO I am wondering if any one has any advice / insight / books or dvd recommendations that I can use to help her stand up for herself and handle situations without me or even her teacher.
Thanks

I dont know about what materials to show her. But if its possible, maybe extra curricular activities such as Karate, cheerleading, dance or acting can help boost a kids confidence.

Maybe try some role playing. That may help her in dealing with those types of incidents
