Inspection Question...
Can a house be inspected if the appliances are not yet installed? I know this may seem like a silly question, but my realtor seems to think that the town can come make the inspection, even if the ordered appliances haven't arrived yet. We are in a rush to close (out locked mortgage rate runs out in a few weeks) and she thinks we can put the money for the appliances in escrow and get the inspection without them.
Any thoughts? Thanks!!!

Re: Inspection Question...
Our appliances weren't even plugged in during our inspection of the house we're buying.
We had it added to contract that the seller would have everything in working order by closing.
We're doing a wlak thru on Sunday afternoon and will test the appliances then.

Re: Inspection Question...
are you talking about for the CO or general inspection?
If it's for general... you'll be fine. I would think that all they're concerned about is if the electrical is set up, etc.
But to double check, i'd call the town and ask. They get these questions all the time so it's no biggie.

Same thing happened to us too! nothing was plugged in and they wrote that on the inspection sheet, so that went into the contract that everything must be plugged in and in working order before the final walk through
