Insomnia
This happened when I was pregnant with DD, but I don't remember it starting this early. I have been waking up between 1:30-2:00 am and I cannot fall back asleep until 4:30-5:00 am. I'm not waking to use the bathroom, nor do I have heartburn yet. I'm just wide awake for no reason.
I cannot function like this. I'm absolutely exhausted and cannot keep my eyes open at work.
Anyone experiencing something similar? Has anyone found anything helpful?

Re: Insomnia
It happens maybe once a week or so for the last few weeks (I'm only 16 weeks), and I wake up for a good 2 hrs in the middle of the night. Nothing helps going back to bed until the time basically passes. I've noticed if I try and stay up an extra 30 minutes at night (so until 9pm instead of 8:30pm lol) that I sleep more through the night. Unfortunately nothing else has helped. I've tried going to the gym, and the day I did, I was exhausted at night, and that helped me sleep throughout the whole night.
Hope you get some rest soon

I tried that, too. Heck, I even forced myself to stay up until 11. No matter what time I go to bed, I wake up at the same time. Last night, I tried counting backwards from 100; I think I wound up doing that about 80 times before giving up lol

Insomnia
I can fall asleep easily, but find myself waking every 2 hours for a few minutes at a time. It is very annoying and I feel like I am getting no REM sleep at all. I go to the gym 6 days a week for at least 60 minutes and I still can not get continuous sleep. (And last week, I ran a total of 30 miles plus I lifted weight 2-3 times!)
When I can't fall asleep, I usually count back from 300 - usually it works.
