insane hunger by 5 weeks???

I have been HUNGRY for a few weeks... since Memorial Day weekend.

It has gotten REALLY bad though the past few days. I am the girl who can eat a banana for breakfast and get me through to dinner without a snack.

Here's what I had today (so far!!):

- banana
- 2 cereal bars
- bag of pretzels
- plum
- baggie of grapes
- slice of pizza
- string cheese
- 6 or 7 chocolate chip cookies
- frozen hot chocolate
- small slice of cake
- Ritz handisnack
- pasta with broccoli
- still hungry, and just found myself eating broccoli straight out of the pan
-will probably go get Friendlys

LOL! OMG Is this normal?? Yesterday the sonogram showed , but I am soooo early... is this hunger normal at this point? That's my only symptom.

I went through a short phase around then of hunger. Even woke up in the middle of the night once too. Totally normal.

Up until about week 7 I was eating like I was going to the chair, especially from wake-up until after lunch. Then I went back to normal, except I couldn't really eat at night because that's when I got a little nauseous.

yes i was insanely hungry right from the beginning through most of the first trimester....it has definitely gotten better since!

same thing happened to me. before BFP, i was not a big eater at all. then by 5 weeks, i was super hungry all the time. it was crazy. i would have to stop and pick up food while i was out all the time because the hunger would come on so quickly and intense.

it does get better

eat now!! after a couple of weeks.. the sight of food might just make you hurl But the insatiable appetite does get better.. congrats!!

happened to me too! but now i am nasueous so hungry all the time but cant eat anything

I find I get hungry, or rather FEEL hungry, shortly after I eat. And I am carbo-loading because I am a bit naus. I hope this ends, because I do not want to be a house!

This is more recent, I am 6 weeks, 3 days.

I was STARVING. I would wake up in the middle of the night to eat. I would sick from the hunger pains. I couldn't get food in my mouth fast enough. So yeah, totally normal.

wow im so glad you posted this!!!! im 5 weeks too. either im totally uninterested in eating, or bam! im eating everything in sight... i was beginning to think how embarrassing it would be if i gained all my pregnancy weight within the first few weeks!

I woke up today at 4am with incredible hunger. I tried to ignore it and just grabbed a couple of fig newtons and went back to sleep. Well, by 11am I was so lightheaded I was ready to pass out! I guess I have to eat no matter what.
