Inpatient Rehab
My brother has to go to inpatient rehab. He has no money and no insurance. Are there any places he can look into?

I have dealt with family member in Fla so I only know about there. With no money, it is only state funded facilities. I found LI to have so much less than when looking in Fla vs. LI, , although with no insurance, it is very hard no matter where you look. I knew of a place in Westchester that took patients with not much money. Not sure it is still around.

I known in hosptials the SW can apply for emergency medicaid to cover the stay, no sure if its the same for NH. I can looking into this if you want
FM with type of rehab needed, state,

I know in Fla there was no places that took Medicare or Medicaid. There were some state funded places, but not any of the private places. I hope things have changed. I'm curious to see if it has.

I stayed at an inpatient rehab back in 2015 and I had Family health plus then but I'm pretty sure they took Medicaid as well

Perhaps the emergency room for meds or alcohol, with a psychic hold for detox? If it is a physical injury, does he qualify for state care?

He has no SS card, he lost it. He is very irresponsible. He has to go for probation or he will end up in jail. He knows he needs help and does not want to go to jail. He has made a lot of stupid choices, selfish choices. He is an alcoholic and takes/uses other drugs. Thank you for everyones help.

He can replace the lost card by going to the SS office. That would be his first step. I know that is much easier said than done with someone who has those issues, but if you could get him to do that, it would be a small start

Brookhaven hospital in Patchogue has a detox program. For inpatient rehab, phoenix house.
