Injection soreness
Hey girlies,
So I have a question... after all this pricking Ive done about a month and a half ago, I thought that the soreness would go away from the IM needles.... Well its now February and its STILL sore... Is this normal? Anyone else experience this?

Re: Injection soreness
I started in January, and I am very sore. I still have bruises that haven't healed.

Re: Injection soreness
Funny you bring this up - I did the IM shots back in November and I'm still so sore. But, lately, since starting progesterone suppositories with my FET it hurts even more. I'm actually very achy in the area of the shots - almost like I'm doing the shots again not the suppositiories!!!! Ouch!

I started them beginning of December and I started to get worried... Im starting my FET cycle probably within the next two weeks and I cant imagine how painful this will be... my first time doing the shots however did not hurt at all! Ohhh the good times to look forward to!

Re: Injection soreness
Feel the area under the skin. I always notice that I have lumps under the skin from the meds. So everytime I shower I take my loofah sponge and massage the area to try to break it up. I only feel it now when I work out (seriously, when I jump up and down/run etc... kinda weird). I notice this lasts about 2 months after each failed cycle I did).

Re: Injection soreness
It's totally normal: the soreness is due to the fact that the needle goes into the muscle: causing little rips & tears.
It takes a long time for this to go away.
In one spot, I hit a nerve and have a numb patch (3 months already).

Re: Injection soreness
I noticed that my soreness after an IM shot decreased when I stopped icing the area altogether. I could never massage it good enough I guess when I was icing. So a lump always remained. Once I stopped icing- poof!- soreness was much less an issue than it had been.
