injectables question. sorry if stupid!
This might sound stupid but other than calculating your dosage vs what the shot contains how do you know how much is left and when it is empty? I.have 900 pen for gonal f and my dosage has been 150. So technically my last dose would be tonight but it doesn't look like it is almost gone. Also if you run.out would you know? I only have a few more days on it. Thanks!

I think I read that you wont be able to pull out the end so that the dark line/arrow thingy lines up with your dosage amount if there isn't enough in there for the full dose, but I'm not 100%. I would have either read it on that glossy instructions card that came with the pen or seen it on freedommedteach.

I was a geek and make a cheat sheet.
(it helped)
I did 900- each dose daily
900
-150 dose monday
-150 dose tuesday
etc etc
and then when i got close to the end i knew what was left and worked with that and maybe had to use a new pen.

You won't be able to pull the plunger thingy out all the way. It will only come out enough for whatever dose is left and then you would have to calculate how much more you need to make up for in the new pen. Hmmm...did that even make sense lol
Me too! How many more days do you have left? RE is thinking IUI this weekend. You?

Me too! How many more days do you have left? RE is thinking IUI this weekend. You?
Totally  this weekend or Monday the latest. I go back Friday! We will be in the 2ww together (again) hopefully for the last time though

If it doesn't look like it's almost gone, it may be that you forgot to prime it before you did your first dose.

Oh ok well in the future if you forget to prime it but already did the first dose, you don't need to prime it for the next dose. Priming is just to get the air out, though you lose like 30ius doing it (whatever you lose by priming it is an amount that is built in that you are 'supposed' to lose... it doesn't count as part of the 900iu dose of the pen). Hope that makes sense.
