Injectables??
Ladies what can you tell me about injectables with an iui. I'm really desperate to try something new since I've had 2 failed iui's at this point.
What kind of injectables are there, what are the supposed to do, and when do you take them.
TIA

Re: Injectables??
After 3 rounds of Clomid w/IUI I moved onto injectables. I took Lupron, Gonal-F and Ovidrel. I responded well but, unfortunately, it did not work and I'm now doing IVF.
Good Luck in your journey!!

Re: Injectables??
depends how you responded to clomid if your re will put you on injectibles for IUI or prefer you to move to ivf. Also, re may want to do one or 2 more iui's before even thinking about moving on. mine wouldnt put me on injects. b/c he said i would get too many follies, i am on injectibles for ivf right now and have about 20 grown follies in each ovary so he was right. With iui they would have had to cancel this cycle. GL!

Re: Injectables??
I never took clomid. I did injectable medicine(Lupron, Bravelle, Ovidrel) then IUI was performed. I was fine giving myself shots and responded very well to the medicine. IUI round #1 was in August and it was a bust- I was crushed, I produced large sized follicles, however it was a bust. I took the month of September off and IUI round #2 was October w/ injectables and again responded very well. Two weeks later PREGNANT Two weeks after that sono performed TWINS YIPEE!! I am now in my 7 week of pregnancy and everything looks great! I will also mentioned IUI round #2 I did acupuncture. Good Luck! Remember its' s on Gods watch, not yours. YOU WILL GET THERE- NEVER GIVE UP!!

Re: Injectables??
Just finished Round 1 of injectibles. I took GonalF in very low doses for 8 days. I produced 4 large follies, a few medium that might have grown by the time of O. I have pco though. It wasn't that bad, but there was alot of monitoring. I was only getting 1 follie with Clomid and DH's counts were low so I requested moving on to injectibles. GL in whatever you decide!

Re: Injectables??
After 3 failed IUIs with clomid, we moved onto IVF. The RE and I both agreed that since I produced a decent number of eggs on clomid (3-5 mature) that we should move on.

Re: Injectables??
I did 5 rounds of Clomid before we moved ontot injectibles. I was only getting 1, aybe 2 eggs with the Clomid, so they thought I would get more with the Gonal-f, well, I'm not, but I am also on a very low dose.
I remember the need to feel like OK, didn't work, let's move on, but you need to give it a chance.
How were you responding to the Clomid?

Re: Injectables??
I went straight on to injectibles. I did three IUIs - one on Gonal F that produced 4 to 5 follicles, one unmedicated, and then one on Bravelle which produced 1, maybe 2 follicles.
I had no side effects at all from those drugs, it was the progesterone in the 2WW that messed with my body. Good luck
