As some of you know, we have been trying to sell our co-op for a long time, with no luck. We've lowered our price, lowered our expectations, but still nothing.

Things seem to be slowing down now, fewer people are coming to look. While we will keep it on the market a few more months and hope to sell it still, we may need to give up soon and look into renting it for a couple years.

We will need to communicate with our co-op, and find out what steps we need to take. I know we need to appeal to the board.

In the meantime, I wanted to start researching rents in our area (Great Neck) for 2-bedrooms. I know we can look at Newsday and Craig's List, but are there any other sites? Are there any sites that explain landlord/tenant rights in Nassau? Or what you should do to choose good tenants?

It stinks, I really never wanted to rent, but we'll need to do something, and I think we have to face reality.
