infant napping question...what does your DC do?

I was just wondering what everyone elses infants are doing...

How many naps during the day and just how long do they nap for...approximately!

My DD is 5 weeks, takes 3 naps but the times VARY so greatly and I think she needs more sleep!

Thanks!
~Nicole

i think at 5 weeks DD normally still slept most of the day. Like every hour to hour and a half DD took a nap.

At that age DD slept on and off all day with no schedule.

I am trying to get Eliana on a schedule... but sometimes a nap is 45 minutes...sometimes it could be 2 hours. Thanks for the input!

honestly, i don't think you can get a 5 week old on a schedule. sleep will just happen at that age.

At 5 weeks, DD had herself on a schedule, but it wasn't a "real" schedule. She really just ate and slept all the time. Every 2-3 hours.

At 5 weeks, DD was sleeping away a good part of her day. She really only woke to eat. Then from 3-5 months she barely napped at all Chat Icon. Now, at 6.5 months, she naps after every bottle for about 45 minutes and is sleeping at night from 7-7 ish. God heard my prayers! Chat Icon I was losing my mind with the no nap period!

At that age DS slept throughout the day with no real schedule at all, every day was so different.

DS takes little naps throughout the day. The length of time varies from 30 minutes to 4 hours. In general, he is awake for a few hours but sleeps most of the day.
