Infant carseat placement?

I have a toyota sienna 2002 model. I have two captain seats, and then the Last row is a bench. Where would i place an infant carseat?? on the captain seat behind the driver? captain seat behind the passenger?? or the last row?? Tia.

I wouldn't ever put a car seat at ALL in the third row

Passenger side. I would use the middle row personally. I'm not sure of the safety implications of using the 3rd row.

When DD was in the infant seat she was in the captain's seat right behind the driver. Lots of people have opinions either way on which is better/easier: behind driver or behind passenger.

For us, we don't park on the street, so that wasn't a factor in terms of loading/unloading her on the side of the road. Also, it was SO EASY to just load her in right behind where I got in to drive.

She actually stayed behind the driver (but now in her Britax) until we turned her forward-facing at 19 months...we moved her to captain's seat behind the passenger, it's just easier to see her & access her while in the car.

ok. great. I figured it was the captains chair and not the backrow bench. Thank you.
